Kate Miller-Heidke released her critically-acclaimed 3rd studio album, ‘Nightflight’, in 2012, debuting at #2 on the ARIA album chart. Her first album ‘Little Eve’ achieved gold status and received four ARIA nominations. Her second album ‘Curiouser’ reached double platinum sales in Australia, spawning two platinum hits ‘Last Day On Earth’ and ‘Caught In The Crowd’. In 2009 Kate won the grand prize in the International Songwriting Competition for ‘Caught In The Crowd’.
In recent years Kate has opened the Coachella Festival in California, toured the USA, UK and Europe extensively with Ben Folds, and sang a principal role in “The Death Of Klinghoffer” for the English National Opera (ENO).
In 2013 Kate performed in the ENO’s world premiere of “Sunken Garden”. She has also just completed an extensive tour of Australia, performing sold-out shows in churches, cathedrals and theatres around the country.
Kate is currently working on her 4th album ‘O Vertigo!’ due for release in March 2014. Renowned for her direct interaction with her fans, she used the direct-to-fan platform Pledge Music to launch a campaign to fund the recording of the album. The campaign broke records and achieved its target in 3 days, making it both the fastest and all-round most successful direct-to-fan campaign by an Australian artist to date.
