Dean Manning

Dean Manning is an award-winning Australian musician, visual artist and filmmaker. As a founding member of the popular rock bands Leonardo’s Bride and Holidays On Ice, Manning released numerous LPs and EPs and achieved critical and commercial success. The Leonardo’s Bride song “Even When I’m Sleeping” (written by Manning) was named Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) Song of the Year and one of APRA’s Top 30 Australian Songs of All Time. The group disbanded soon after performing an outdoor concert to 80,000 people in Sydney’s Domain open space. Manning settled in Spain where he wrote much of his debut solo album, Diplomatic. Later he founded Holidays On Ice with Angie Hart (Frente!) with Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint) soon joining the group. Manning’s music has been featured on the TV shows “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Veronica Mars. He has exhibited his paintings and short films in many solo and group shows and is an Archibald Prize, Sulman Prize and Moran Portrait Prize finalist. Manning’s second solo album Sunday Mountain will be released on September 6th, 2019 on his own label, Cloudy But Fine. He is currently based in Athens.
